The Museum Of Liberation

The Liberation Museum is housed in a former military fort of the Second Empire, on the summit of the Montagne du Roule, from where one can discover a superb panoramic view of the city and its harbor. It traces, through a chronological path, the different stages of the Second World War, the exodus to the Liberation of Cherbourg. DATES AND SCHEDULES: Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm. On Sundays, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Closed on Mondays, December and January and public holidays except May 8 and November 11 from 2 pm to 6 pm.
